Mandate arrangement for cross-border event

The registration of a cross-border event involving multiple municipalities can be handled in two different ways. The municipality determines which registration method will be used:

Mandate arrangement:

  • For events that take place across municipal boundaries, municipalities may cooperate through a mandate arrangement.
  • The event organiser can invite traffic controllers for the event.
  • The lead municipality appoints these traffic controllers.
  • The municipalities that have granted a mandate provide authorisation for this group of traffic controllers (as listed on the deployment list for the specific event) to direct traffic within their respective municipalities as well.

Register per municipalities:

  • The event organiser registers the event separately with each municipality in which it takes place. Traffic controllers must then be appointed separately by each municipality.

A traffic controller holding a valid instruction certificate may be deployed nationwide for a period of one year at various events and in different municipalities.
