Appointing event traffic controllers

An event traffic controller can be appointed by a municipality if they hold a valid instruction certificate. Through verkeersregelaarsexamen.nl, municipalities can directly appoint event traffic controllers and download the appointment decision.

An appointment remains valid as long as the event traffic controller’s instruction certificate is valid. Once the instruction certificate expires, the appointment automatically expires as well.

Municipalities may also have a mandate agreement with another municipality. In that case, event traffic controllers appointed by the mandate municipality may also be deployed within your municipality.

If your municipality does not have a municipal subscription, event traffic controllers must be appointed manually.
